Radio System FAQ

I am trying to mix my throttle CH-3 with CH-7 which has my on board glow starter. I would like the glow starter to come on at start and shut off at between 1/4 and 1/2 throttle and also be killed with the throttle cut on (A). I have tried the procedure as shown on page 55 of your manual, but no success, the glow starter is always on. Can you help me?

You can accomplish this by activating Throttle cut and doing two Pmixes. The first thing you will want to do though is to go into your PARA menu, scroll to the second page and set channel 7 to Null. Now activate your Throttle Cut setting to your desired rate.

For your first Pmix, you will set the master as Offset, the slave will be channel 7, and set your switch to your Throttle cut switch, set your rate to the same rate as you did in your Throttle Cut menu. This will make channel 7-servo work as Throttle cut at the same rate as your channel 3-servo.

Your second Pmix will be channel 3 as Master and channel 7 as Slave with the switch assignment Null. As this is going to be used only to mix your glow starter for on/off action, it is best to set the rates at around -50% high rate and +100% low rate to start with, you may need to adjust this depending on your set up. After setting both high and low rates you will want to scroll down to your offset. Here you will move your throttle stick to around 25%, and then press and hold the dial until you hear the beep. This will set the point on your throttle as to when the glow starter actually comes on; the 25% rate that you just set will tell it that this is where it needs to shut off.
