Radio System FAQ
How do I use the trim memory feature to store my trim positions for my different models? How do I reset them to zero for a rebuilt model?
First, fly and trim the aircraft so it is exactly how you wish to store it. Remember—when you store the trim settings it will temporarily jump to a farther setting than what you are keeping so you can bring your trims back to the center position now and the trims will be correct.
- With the aircraft turned on, engine off and the radio in hand, go to the tmem screen. (press the 2 mode keys togeter and use the top left key to arrow up until you reach TMEM.)
- Be sure to notice which physical trim sliders are not at center. For example, elevator (2). The word set must be flashing.
- Press the + and - data input keys together.
- Notice that the servos have now moved an additional distance from your flying trim. Bring your trim sliders to neutral. The servos are now at the exact position you trimmed them to in flight. the little triangles are now showing that you have stored trims which are off from center.
TO CLEAR THE TRIMS:
So you've memorized trims, but now you have fixed the model's linkages, or made other changes to the model.
To clear the trim:
- Go into TMEM.
- Moving each trim slider until the little triangle above or below that channel number is gone.
- Press the + and - keys together. The trim will now jump to the position for the amount of trim still applied by the slider. push the slider to center. THATS IT! The servo is re-centered.
