12Z Radio System FAQ

I am setting up a Delta/Flying Wing plane with my 12Z and I am having problems getting the control surfaces to function correctly, can you explain any easy way to do this?

You can do this a few different ways as this radio is so versatile, but we found a fairly simple way of doing this below.

You will want to create a new model with the Wing Type as 1 AILERON and Tail Type as Ailevator.

1. Set your Left Elevator in channel 1 on your receiver, and set the Right Elevator in channel 2.
2. Go into your Function screen in the Linkage menu, and set channel 1 as Elevator with the control as J2, set channel 2 as Elevator 2, leaving the control as Null, now set channel 3 as Throttle on J3 and finally channel 4 as Aileron on J1.
3. Go into the Ailevator menu in your model menu to set the rates on both of your Elevators.
4. If you need to adjust your rates on your Ailerons, you can do this in your AFR screen in you Model Menu also.

If you are not seeing the Right Elevon moving UP and Left Elevon moving Down, when you give right stick, or your Elevons move Down instead of UP when giving down stick, you will want to first try changing the channels you have your servos in on your receiver, most times this will resolve this problem.
