Find The Perfect Radio:

12Z Radio System FAQ

I would like to setup multi engines with separate trim control and throttle cut on my 12Z, can you help me with this?

This can be accomplished with the following setup:

  1. Enter the Function screen and go to the trim control for T3 and choose Separate (SEP).

  2. Return to the Function menu and assign a channel for Throttle 2 with the same control settings (J3) and than assign the trim to a slider/dial. (e.g. RD or RS).

  3. Go to Endpoint (ATV) and set the limits on both throttle channels to 100%.

  4. Then go to the model menu to Prog. Mixes, cursor over to the Mode column and set Mix 1 and 2 to Offset. Go to the Mixing column and activate it to OFFS. MIX for both mixes.

  5. Next go to Mix one and press the round button to open the mix. Cursor over and up to the channel and set it to Throttle and confirm it. Then cursor to Offset ON and set that rate to +300%. Cursor down to the last page and turn the ACT/INH to Off or On and set the switch and position to what you want. So with the switch in that position, the motor is off. Then hit the return button once.

  6. Then go into Mix two and do the same thing, press the round button to open the mix. Cursor over and up to the channel and set it to Throttle2 and confirm it. Cursor to Offset ON and set that rate to +300%. Cursor down to the last page and turn the ACT/INH to Off or On and set the switch and position to what you want. So with the switch in that position, the motor is off. Than hit the return button three times and see how that works for you.

You may have to go in to the mixes and reverse the rates from +300% to -300%. You may also have to adjust the limits to what you need in the Endpoint screen.

To add more engines just setup another throttle channel under the "Function" screen and setup another P-Mix and switch.

  7. To set up throttle cut go to the multi engine function and make all engines active. Set the percentage to around 10% for both. Then go to the Throttle Cut menu function under the Linkage menu and assign the throttle cut to the switch and position you want.
