12Z Radio System FAQI want to use one of the 3 position switches for Flap usage, e.g. Down=Off, 1= 15%, and 2 = 40%. This should be done by the ailerons, and they should still function as Ailerons. Can you help? Here is how we have ours set up...assuming you have 2-Aileron wing type and Normal Tail Type, we did 2 Offset Pmixes. Go into Model Menu, Prog. Mixes, select the Mode button between Mixing and Group, turn the push knob to change this to Offset. Next got back to Mixing turn the dial to Activate, press the push button, this will bring you to your program mixing screen. You will see a function name in a box in the middle of your screen, if it does not say Aileron; change it by turning the dial. Next set your offset to 15%, and then toggle down and select a 3 Position switch to put this on, select the center portion of the switch as the On position. Hit return twice until you are back to the Prog. Mixes screen and under number two under Center column, turn your dial until you see Aileron 2...then select your percentage again for this servo. Now you will simply back out of that screen and follow these same steps again, but this time the only thing you will change will be the amount of percentage, which will be 40%. Just remember that if your flaps do not deflect downward, you may need to change your rates to negative. What you will now have may be slightly different than what you asked for but it will be as follows: Flaps: But these will continue to act as Ailerons in any switch position. |
